Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled L2 Wireless Engineer to design, implement, and maintain wireless networks while providing advanced troubleshooting and support for complex wireless environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy robust wireless networks that align with business objectives

• Perform site surveys and analyze RF (radio frequency) environments to optimize network coverage and performance

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime

• Monitor and maintain wireless infrastructure, including routers, access points, and controllers

• Implement security measures to safeguard wireless networks against threats and unauthorized access

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise for network projects

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures

• Support escalations from L1 support team for wireless-related issues

• Implement wireless network upgrades and migrations

• Evaluate and recommend emerging wireless technologies to enhance network capabilities

Qualifications & Skillsets:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in wireless networking technologies

• Strong understanding of 802.11 standards, protocols, and best practices

• Experience with enterprise wireless solutions (Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, etc.)

• Knowledge of RF principles, site surveys, and wireless design methodologies

• Familiarity with wireless controllers, access points, and management systems

• Understanding of network security principles and wireless security protocols

• Relevant certifications (CWNA, CWSP, CCNP Wireless, or equivalent)

• Experience with wireless troubleshooting tools and analysis software
